Elevated Statement on U.S. Supreme Court Overturning Roe v. Wade

June 27, 2022 – The US Supreme Court’s deplorable and devastating decision to overturn Roe v Wade will have significant implications for reproductive healthcare in roughly half of the states across the USA, states in which Elevated staff, affiliated organisations, and clients live and work.

We stand against any actions that hinder the health and well-being of people in our society, including our employees, which means opposing any steps to restrict access to the full range of reproductive health care services, including abortion. We understand that medical decisions are deeply personal and that they should be made by individuals.

Our goal is to ensure our employees and their dependents always have access to the medical services they need, when they need them.

In response to last week’s ruling, we will ensure our company medical plan covers reimbursement of travel and lodging expenses to support US-based employees who are required to travel out of state to receive medical care relating to reproductive health services. Our support will be given to any employee, partner, or dependent enrolled in the company medical plan, along with one support person. This policy will apply to employees in all and any country or region where local laws restrict an individual reproductive healthcare. In addition, Elevated will make financial contributions to organizations which deliver reproductive health services.
